Sycamore Tree was created in 1981 with a mission to provide an alternative option to traditional education. We were the first company in the United States to provide services specifically for homeschoolers. Since then, we have been achieving our goals of continuously improving our excellent service, updating our curriculum to meet state standards, and providing an exceptional alternative to a classroom environment.

We believe a multi-sensory teaching approach can work well so we offer a variety of curriculums. We carry Christian items from publishers like Bob Jones, Alpha Omega, and Christian Liberty Press, and secular items from publishers such as Prentice Hall, Glencoe, and Steck-Vaughn.

As a homeschooling parent, choosing curriculum can be a daunting task, especially since there are so many choices. Is it better to get the pricier book? Will this be enough grammar? Will we be able to do these science experiments in our home? We’ve taken all the guesswork out of choosing curriculum. Since we have been helping homeschoolers since 1981, we know works and what is a waste of time and money. Our credentialed staff has put together complete grade-level curriculums for grades K-12. Each package contains a years worth of curriculum including student textbooks and workbooks, teacher’s manuals and answer keys, and daily lesson plans. Best of all, you know you’re not compromising when you choose a package because they contain the best books for the best price. You can also purchase any of the items individually.

The curriculum has been carefully chosen by SA credentialed teachers for content, presentation, and academic level. Our grade-level curriculums are different than other school’s packages because of the variety. We believe the best math books, science books, and language books, could come from different publishers. So instead of getting everything from one place, we choose what we think is best from lots of different sources, creating a package with variety and quality. We also look for books that are affordable for homeschoolers, making the packages as reasonably priced as possible.

The lesson plans make the grade-level curriculums easy-to-use! The plans tell you exactly what to do each day in every book that comes in the curriculum package. We want you to be able to spend more time teaching your children and less time writing out time-consuming lesson plans.

For families with multiple students in the same grade, we have created consumable packages that come with just workbooks and things that students cannot share. Some parents purchase both and use the consumable package for a student that will be in that grade the following year. This is a great way to reuse your curriculum, saving you time and money. Our packages sometimes change so make sure you’ll have what you need if you plan on purchasing a consumable package for a subsequent child.
